- 1 (10 oz) bag frozen chopped spinach, thawed and thoroughly squeezed
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but kept cold
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- Add the thawed spinach after squeezing out all moisture and stir until evenly combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and spread the spinach mixture over it, leaving one long edge free; roll up tightly like a jelly roll.
- Wrap the log in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes; preheat oven to 400?F (200?C) while chilling.
- Slice the chilled log into 1/2-inch rounds, place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake 15?20 minutes until puffed and golden.
